Paris accueillera les Gay Games 2018 !

Malheureusement pour des raisons professionnelles, je n'ai pas été très présent ces derniers temps.

Mais c'est avec une immense joie que je reviens sur mon blog aujourd'hui. Une excellente nouvelle vient de tomber dans la nuit. C'est maintenant officiel après plusieurs mois de travail, de communication, d'engagement des bénévoles, Paris accueillera les Gay Games 2018 !

Après Cologne en 2010 et Cleveland en 2014, c'est au tour de la capitale française d'accueillir le monde pour l'un des événements sportifs majeurs. Les Gay Games, c'est un peu les jeux olympiques LGBT, à la différence qu'ils sont ouverts à tous, sans discrimination. Près de 15 000 sportifs sont attendus du 4 au 12 août 2018 !

La France a ainsi une occasion rare d'accueillir le monde et d'envoyer un signal fort contre l'homophobie et les discriminations. La candidature a reçu un soutien politique fort du gouvernement et des élus de la capitale, sans oublier un grand nombre d'associations et des personalités engagés pour la candidature.

A tous nos amis sportifs d'Europe et du monde : nous vous attendons nombreux pour les Gay Games 2018 à Paris !!

Unfortunately because of my work, I could not be much online these days.

But I'm incredibly happy to come back to my blog today for one reason. We had an amazing announcement during the night. It is now official after months of work, communication and volunteering, Paris will be the host city for the Gay Games 2018!

After Cologne in 2010 and Cleveland in 2014, it is the time for the French capital city to host the world for one of the main sport events worldwide. The Gay Games are like the LGBT Olympics, but they are open to everyone without any discrimination! About 15.000 athletes are expected from the 4th to the 12th August 2018!

France has now a unique occasion to host the world and send a strong signal against homophobia and discriminations. The Paris bid has been supported strongly by the French governement and officials of the city and of course by a lot of associations and personalities involved in the bid.

To all our athlete friends from Europe and the wold : we are waiting for you to come to Gay Games 2018 in Paris!!
