Rafael Castillo, 71 ans, élu Mr Gay Espagne Sénior!

Sera t'il le prochain candidat officiel de l'Espagne pour Mr Gay Europe 2013 ? En cette année européenne du viellissement actif, les organisateurs du concours Mr Gay Espagne ont décidé d'organiser un concours spécial, le premier du genre, le concours Mr Gay Pride Espagne Sénior !

Tous âgés entre 60 et 80 ans, les participants se sont affrontés lors de différentes épreuves, et c'est Rafael Castillo, 71 ans et professeur de litterature, qui a remporté ce concours d'un nouveau genre !

Une initiative très intéressante, car il est souvent reproché (parfois à juste titre) le jeunisme des concours Mr Gay, et plus globalement de la communauté LGBT. Le milieu gay favorise une certaine recherche de la jeunesse et les séniors sont généralement exclus de ce monde et subissent ainsi une double discrimination pour l'âge et l'orientation sexuelle.

Espèrons que le concours Mr Gay Pride Espagne Sénior pourra mettre en avant cette thèmatique et permettre de faire avancer les mentalités. Car après tout, vu le nombre de passif dans la communauté gay, ce n'est peut-être pas une si mauvaise idée ce vielissement "actif"...

Will he be the next official Spanish delegate for Mr Gay Europe 2013? In this European Year of active ageing, the organisers of the Mr Gay Spain contest decided to organise a special contest, the first of its kind, the Mr Gay Pride Spain Senior Contest!

From 60 to 80yo, the delegates participated to different challenges and Rafael Castillo, 71yo and litterature teacher won this new contest!

This is a very interesting initiative, as some always complain (which might be right), that the Mr Gay contest and in general the LGBT community is far too much promoting youth. The LGBT community is always looking for young cute boys and seniors are in general excluded from the community and suffer from a double discrimination about ages and sexual orientation.

Hopefully, the contest Mr Gay Pride Spain Senior will bring this topic into the light and contribute to change somehow the mentalities. Cause "active" ageing might not be such a bad idea, reguarding the high number of bottom in the LGBT world...
