Andreas Derleth, Mr Gay Monde 2012, pris en pleine polémique

Il aura fallu à peine une semaine pour qu'une polémique éclate autour d'Andreas Derleth, un allemand vivant en Nouvelle Zélande qui vient de remporter Mr Gay Monde 2012.

Ce dernier aurait déclaré au journal Auckland Now (ici) qu'un de ses objectifs était "d'effacer l'image des gays courant avec des sacs à main" (erase "the image of us [gay men] running around with handbags").

Il n'en aura pas fallu plus pour relancer le débat au sein de la communauté gay. Certains l'accusent de fait d'exclure une partie des homos jugés trop effeminés, argumentant qu'il n'y a pas de gays meilleurs que d'autres.

Just after one week, a fierce debate started around Andreas Derleth, German guy living in New Zealand, who won the Mr Gay World 2012 contest.

Andreas said in the Auckland Now newspaper (here) that one of his aims is to erase "the image of us [gay men] running around with handbags".

More wasn't needed to restart the debate inside the gay community. Some are arguing that he is excluding a part of the gays who are more femine, other said they are no gays better than others.
